Re: Dynamically loading binaries in Kernel mode.

Hi again,

I understand where you are coming from. Unfortunately there are legal
reasons pertaining to ongoing patent work that would prevent me from
disclosing the reasons why we (I) need to dynamically load code at the kernel
level. It's unfortunately one of those situations where telling anyone about
our master plan basically screws us :-)

So it sounds to me like I need to take this offline with a consultant, get
an NDA signed and proceed with some technical questions since for the most
part, the participants on this forum feel ill at ease with answering my
questions without prior full disclosure (which won't happen anytime soon).

cheers,

Why is it then whenever people ask a question, they get questions in return?
I don't actually want to tell anyone why I need to dynamically load code in
kernel level (the reason I gave earlier is not the actual reason but a little
white lie that was meant to deflect interest in what I was doing). But now,
that little white lie has become bothersome. So Plan B. I'm not going to tell
anyone why I need to load code dynamically. What I am trying to achieve
cannot be done without dynamic code loading, it's that simple.

If I were you I would at this point just take my ball and go home.
Obviously we are not playing fair with you.

It's a quid pro quo here. We've been burned - seriously burned - by
digging up the answers for all sorts of odd 'how do I' questions. We
get burned on two levels: seriously crappy drivers that cause the OS
to be perceived as equally crappy, and remarkably awful malware. Just
go google the whole Sony DRM disaster as it leads right back to this
newsgroup and the NTDEV email list. So you ask a question about
undocumented regions and we get to ask 'why' and you get to provide a
good answer to why and then we waste some time and effort digging up
the answer.

The answer, by the way, is generally available via google, and
generally somebody in the same thread will pipe up with at least one
workable solution without your having to provide any reasonable answer
to 'why' at all. It is only a very loose firewall.

Luis Miguel Huapaya

P.S. I am not missing the point and I am not afraid of complex systems, I've
done plenty of those before.

Everyone else in the thread answered your question as well. It is just
either you didnt explain your question properly
or you didnt get it into your head the complications involved in your
method. We should appreciate people
who explained more than you asked for because simply answering the
question wont "simply" solve the problems sometimes.

Thanks
