The check build is supposed to be supported, but Microsoft has never done as
much testing with the checked build as the free build. A number of vendors
drivers will miss behave on the checked build, including on past builds some
of the inbox drivers. A lot of user code fails on the checked build, the
worst being the fact that the HCT's on install leak enough memory that this
testing tool will not work on the checked build.

Try only installing checked kernel and HAL by using /KERNEL= and

Do you mean this:
Copy the checked ntkrnl and hal to the free build partition and duplicate
the entry in boot.ini with the verbs?
I will try that tomorrow.
About the stalling driver installation I found out that running the
checked
build with /onecpu the installation succeeds. Seems to be not multithread
safe. *sic*
So far, thanks for the answer. Is the checked build just not supported or
MUST I install a checked 64bit build?
Thanks
