Re: A meta question

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

That doesn't work either, I've had a potential customer who decided I was no
good since they had read Chris Cant's book and didn't know better. They
thought I was terrible since I proposed using METHOD_IN_DIRECT for a driver
that didn't do DMA, but their reference said this was for DMA only!

A formal test is stupid, things like questions below for the most part are
trivia contests. If you want questions, keep them general and part of the
interview. A good example is: Describe a locking heirarchy and the rules
for acquiring and releasing locks. Even here don't reject someone out of
hand if they aren't perfect, in the above request many people get the
release requirements wrong.
