With your clue, I found the following info page:

So I set USBHUB.SYS USBH_Debug_Trace_Level = 1
This generates a lot more information. Of course, it also interferes with
timing :(. Hopefully it will shed light on various things I don't
understand! I'll have to play with it some more and post back here when I
have more information.
