Looking for AVI format description..

Hello there every one,

Does any one know where I can find the structure of the AVI format ? I assume there is video portion and audio portion, how this format is laid out is very important to me.

I already know BMP format, Meta file format etc.. AVI is the next format I like to know, for my programming of course.

I would appreciate your help.
