After installing Visual Studio 2005 and the SLQEXPRESS 2005 I cannot
connect to the server. It says that I need SQL Server 2005 data
management tools to connect to the server. Therefore, I cannot import
or copy any databases from the SQL 2000 server. Anyone have any
suggestions on what I have to do to connect to the server in SQL Server
Enterprise Manager?
You cannot connect to SQL 2005 from Enterprise Manager.
Look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/sql/download/ for
various download options, for instance SQL Server Mangement Studio
Express.
