Who uses atl consumer templates?

Please reply to this post if you use atl consumer templates and tell me how
you like them.

I intend to use atl consumer templates in a decent sized project and I would
like to get some feedback from people who have worked with the technology.
Are you generally please with atl consumer templates or has it been a
nightmare? Is there a better yet affordable alternative for C++ OO data
access?
