Multiple Step Operation Generated Errors

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi,

We have a web environment installed on Windows 2000 Server SP4 connecting to
an Oracle 9i database. MDAC 2.8 is installed on the server and the code is
written in ASP. Oracle client 9.2.0.6.0 is the oledb provider used to access
the
database.

We are experiencing the following error *intermittently* during load tests-
Microsoft Cursor Engine (0x80040E21)
Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value.

An ADO recordset is opened selecting from the database, and the error
appears when trying to access date values on lines such as
sDateValue = rsReturn("CREATED_DATE"), and has even occurred when an isnull
check if done prior to this line. The dates in the database are either null
or valid dates. Reloading the page produces no errors. This error has not
appeared in other test environments.

Any help would be appreciated
thanks

.
