Cannot open database created with a previous version of your applications.

I have a program using Jet OLEDB 4.0 provider. On most computers it
runs like a charm, but for two computers. They're both XP. One has
Access 2000 and the other doesn't.The message shown in the subject
shows up. If I run the program on another computer with the exact same
ADO version it runs like a charm again...

What causes this error?
