Norton Antivirus. Disable the Office Plugin (or whatever it's called in
your version of NAV) and the problem will go away. You can reanable it
later after you have etablished your connection. If you are using another
antivirus; make the adjustement.

Hi,
I use Office7 at my Company and have no trouble connecting an access
database to the data source defined in odbc databases() using the import
method.
When I attempt this with my computer at home using office 2003 absolutely
nothing happens, no error messages, the command is just ignored. Selecting
any of the other file types presents me with a directory listing but odbc
is ignored.
Any ideas?
Thanks
.
