Hello Marc,
Based on my understanding of the issue, you wonder how to select a column
without header when HDR=YES.
The KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257819 shows how to get the
column schema of an Excel table. A test of its sample code shows that the
column_name property of the columns without header is 'F' + columnId, like
F3, F5. Therefore, in order to select the columns without headers, we can
write the select statement as 'Select Project, Location, F3, F4 FROM
[Sheet1$]'. Please have a try and let me know the result.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to let me
know.
Regards,
Jialiang Ge (jialge@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, remove 'online.')

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
