I have several Microsoft Access 2000 databases reading data from a SQL
Server 2000 database using a built-in account in SQL Server. Soon, we
will be swapping this server out for another.

Would it be sufficient to just rename the old server something else
and name the new server the existing name (e.g., MachineA is the name
of the existing system, new system named MachineB. Rename MachineA to
MachineAOLD and rename MachineB to MachineA)? I know this will help
with the web server that is also accessing this database, but I have
ODBC and OLEDB connections all over the company. Would changing the
machine names in this manner be enough to allow the ODBC/OLEDB
connections to point to the new server?
