Hi,
I've win XP pro with the latest updates.
I tried to install the odbc driver of the oracle instant client. I followed
all the procedure. I can connect to de db with the MS oracle driver but I
don't see the oracle drivers in the odbc data source administrator.
I checked the registry and everithing looks ok
(HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI
I tried to register them with odbcconf
odbcconf INSTALLDRIVER "Oracle in oracleIC|Driver=C:\Program
Files\oracleIC\SQORA32.DLL|Setup=C:\Program
Files\oracleIC\SQORAS32.DLL|SQLLevel=1|FileUsage=0|DriverODBCVer=03.51|ConnectFunctions=YYY|APILevel=1|CPTimeout=60||"
with no more success. I installed them a few month ago (same version same
folder) on an other pc and it works great.
To see where the problem was comming from I change the registry value of
HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers\xxx from installed to ""
The entry disapeared from the odbc data source administrator. When I put the
value back to Installed the driver didn't appear. I removed the registry
entries and ran odbcconf but without success. I tried to duplicate other
entries but they never appeard in odbc data source administrator.
so how can I add my Oracle driver and take back the other. Is there an other
place than the registry where the odbc informations are stored???
Thanks for your help.
Michel
