System DSN with .mdw workgroup file

Hi there,

Have been developing an intranet site at my work, and have got as far as
getting it all working with a new database - so no problems there.

However, I now need to roll it out to other existing databases that have
security attached to them.

So, for example, a database may be :

i:\gbinfo\access databases\gb roads.mdb

But because of the associated security workgroup file (.mdw), the desktop
shortcut has to point to :

"i:\gbinfo\access databases\gb roads.mdb" /WRKGRP "i:\gbinfo\acess
databases\secured.mdw"

So the problem seems to be how to incorporate this when setting up the
System DSN. Just pointing the DSN to the database file runs into permission
problems. And whatever variation (with or without the "s) of the longer path
I enter in the ODBC MS Access Setup screen is just met with a message saying
"The above file name is invalid".

I hope that this makes sense, and someone here has run into this before and
can point me in the right direction.

The structure of the site is all set up, and should be quite quick to finish
off once I can get these DNS connections set up.

Many thanks,
Iain
