ODBC error in Simply Accounting

Hi to all,
I'm experiencing a weird problem with Simply Accounting 9.0 running on
a Windows 2000 workstation.
Things were just fine under windows 98 but when I reinstalled a new
machine the "link" to preformatted reports of simply accounting stop
working.
Here is the initial setup :
2 clients (Win98) and 1 server (Windows XP)
The 2 clients have limited access to simply accounting databases on a
remote windows XP machine hosting all the necessary files of simply
accounting.
The 2 clients could print their invoices using a preformatted page
setup (also known as "Crystal Reports" templates) wich resides on the
server machine.
I reinstalled clean one of the workstation with windows 2000. Since
then whenever I choose "custom" template in the configuration menu of
Simply Accounting, and try to print say and invoice, I get an ODBC
error with an expected argument that apparently is missing... The
printing thus fails.
ACCPAC support desk was all along useless. I don't understand how come
they have no documents on this problem... We waisted a lot of time with
them and nothing is fixed. Now it seems that a ODBC link is missing
somewhere but how to fix this ???
