export from dbf

Hi,
I need to export some data from couple dbf (old DOS program, ?dbaseIII
)files into a merge.dat file for production mechine.
I would like to use VB.net to create a small program, but how can I acces
the data form VB.net or MS Excel2000 (check the data) to the old dbf files?
Any refercece or resource for me to read?
