I'm not sure if you received the previous response or it hasn't made
its way to you as yet. A File DSN is really a text file that contains
the same datasource information as you would have under User and
System datasources. With the latter, that information is normally
stored in the registry but with a File DSN, it means you can transfer
this across machines like you would any file.
You create File DSNs by this using the ODBC administrator tool.
