Configure Datacomponent ProcDef failed.

I got the following error message:
-------------------------------------------------------
 Configure Datacomponent ProcDef failed.
Key not valid for use in specified state
-------------------------------------------------------
The connection string works, I tested it. When I create a new data source I
am only allowed to use a local source ("Key not valid for use in specified
state" appears if I try the more general database)
I cannot preview data (same message).
My program runs properly, but I cannot update the database tables, or expand
it without having capabilities that just went away.

This happens on a Win2K server. I was just moved to a new user group. The
dataset works properly on a WinXP professional.
HELP!
