Creating System DSN during 3rd party install

We are currently looking at changing database engines for our
application and using ADO/ODBC access to something like the Microsoft
dBase driver where something like SQL Server or MSDE is not available.

I am still investigating options at this stage and one thing I am not
sure of is how to add a new System DSN to the list of ODBC drivers
during our application's installation process.

Can this be done or does a new System DSN need to be added separately?
