Re: Which ADO provider to use to connect to MS Access DB under Vista x64 ?

Bob, I just converted one of my NWind.mdb databases using Access 2007 and it created an entirely new database file with a new extension. Now the JET 4.0 OLE DB provider won't open it. What are customers supposed to do now? Fall back 10 yards and punt?

I spent an hour searching for the answers to these questions this morning. Unfortunately, my answers, as of today, have to be :
1. Yes
2. Yes - although that WS2003 patch does provide some hope that they will release one for Vista.

Oops, Sorry, my bad.
I'm sorry but I can find no solution for you, outside of extracting
your data from your Jet database and putting it into a database that can
be accessed by 64-bit applications. MSDE or SQL Server Express come to
mind given that they are free to use.

Not use Jet ... ??? It's a Jet database. What else would you use?
