Hmm.. That select @@version is handy to look at, but not much for
coding against. I don't imagine the format is defined and will be
consistant.
Turns out several of my clients aren't running SP4, and don't want to
update badly. I'm going to try a ADOX, or workaround.
Thanks for all your help. It's at least good to know this is a bug
in SQL Server.
