does anybody have an example?
No. Because this is the wrong newsgroup
This newsgroup discusses classical ADO, the predecessor to ADO.NET
This newsgroup _DOES NOT_ discuss ADO.NET and it off-topic to post ADO.NET
problems here.
Microsoft has gone to the trouble of creating 100's of newsgroups just for
..NET programming. They all have "dotnet" somewhere in there name.
..NET problems should be posted on one of these.
Try
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.languages.vb.data
