Re: Display ADO Recordset in Access

Then you probably phrased it in such a way that they could not understand
what you were talking about. You are asking about something that is commonly
done in Access, if I am understanding your question correctly.

I have not used Access for several years, so
1.I cannot remember the steps to take to do this ... although it seemed like
a matter of just using a wizard and then revising the result.
2. Even if I could remember the steps, the ones I remember apply to Access
97, and probably don't apply to the newer version you are undoubtedly
using.
3. I really don't have the time to try it myself in Access and refresh my
memory

You are unlikely to find a concentration of Access users here so I really
suggest you go back to the Access group and find out why they were unable to
help you. Frankly,I'm a little flabbergasted that nobody there was able to
help you given the simplicity of this task. Maybe if you provide a little
more information to them ... are you using a passthrough query to access an
external database? or are you simply using a saved parameter query (aka
stored procedure) to access a table in the same database?

I've already tried that and no one knew how to do it. That's why I
posted here.

How can I display a recordset to the user in Access? I'm trying to
replace some dynamic SQL with a stored procedure that is passed a
parameter from a textbox and the have the result displayed for the
user to view. I would like for the recordset to be displayed like
an access query. the user will enter an account number in a
textbox
and click a button to run the procedure.

You will have better success getting an answer to this question in
one of the Access groups. Look in the table of contents under
"Office Solutions".
