You failed to tell us what database you are using so I will assume

Sorry about that. It's access mdb2000 with no security at my user
workstation.

So my previous answer does not change. Check the file system permissions
on the folder containing the database file. ALL users of the file need
read/write authority for that folder. Check the permissions on the file
as well
