I am trying to create a table using a query , but Access always wants
to make it so my text fields are padded.
Could you show us a small sample code to reproduce this? Are you doing
this in a VBA module?
I have tried using the WITH COMP keywords, this will turn on unicode
compression, but doesn't change how the field is padded.
I was not aware that fixed-length character fields could be created in
Jet. There's noting in the documentation that suggest this. let me try
it myself ...
