There's a reason for that: ADOX is "classic" technology, i.e., pre-.Net.
The VB samples are "classic" VB, not VB.Net.
Jet has been deprecated, so there has been little to no work done to
update the the samples since the release of .Net. This, unfortunately,
leaves .Net developers needing to use Jet backends in the lurch given
the fact that ADO.Net does not provide any of this functionality (except
the ability to run DDL statements of course).
