We are trying to create a fairly simple data manipulation application
with forms that contain grids and other dataset bound components.
The database we use is an SQL 2000 server on another Windows XP box
in the lab.
The problem is that sometimes in the middle of the day when i press
f5 i find out that all the dataser/table adapter settings from a
random form are lost.
This is a serious productivity issue because we have to redo the
dataset and table adapter settings
Can annyone think of what we may be doing wrong?

There was no way for you to know it (except maybe by browsing through some
of the previous questions in this newsgroup before posting yours - always a
recommended practice) , but this is a classic ADO newsgroup. ADO.Net bears
very little resemblance to classic ADO so, while you may be lucky enough to
find a dotnet-knowledgeable person here who can answer your question, you
can eliminate the luck factor by posting your question to a group where
those dotnet-knowledgeable people hang out. I suggest
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.adonet.

Actually, your question probably concerns Visual Studio rather than ADO, so
you would probably be better off posting at one of the vsnet groups:
