On the surface the whole .Net ADO things looks to have made interactingwith
databases much simpler, until you come to use it and find it doesn't seemto
work, and nobody seems to know what the incantation is to get the jobdone.
Frustrates the buggery out of me - I think you can tell that!
Me too. It irritates that developers post their off-topic ADO.NET problems
here.
This is _NOT_ the newsgroup for ADO.NET, it is for classic ADO (pre -
ADO.NET)
It is not as if there is no newsgroups, Microsoft have setup 100's of
newsgroups devoted just to .NET problems
Read this and pick one:
Newsgroups that have "dotnet" somewhere in the name, are for .NET support
Newsgroups that DO NOT have "dotnet" somewhere in the name, are for _NOT_
for .NET support.
Try one of:
Newsgroup support on .NET:
microsoft.public.dotnet.* hieracrchy
Newsgroup support on ADO.NET:
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.adonet
Newsgroup support on VB.NET:
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.languages.vb
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.languages.vb.controls
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.languages.vb.data
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.languages.vb.upgrade
Newsgroup support on C#:
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.languages.csharp
Newsgroup support on Datagrid:
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.aspnet.datagridcontrol
Newsgroup support on Windows Forms
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.windowsforms
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.windowsforms.control
microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.windowsforms.databinding
