MDAC 2.8 SP1 on Windows XP

That's the most recent MDAC available and the message still states that
it already has that version of the MDAC. I know it has that version of
the MDAC...that's a no-brainer. What I want to do is reinstall the
MDAC or repair the MDAC. But that's apparently not as easy to do as it
should be.
