ADO mis-installation - msader15.dll- won't register

I am now getting an error on my Windows 2000 server webserver:

Server object erro 'ASP 0177 : 8007007e'
Server.CreateObject Failed

//global.asa, line 111

8007007e

set conn1 = server.CreateObject ("adodb.connection")

The error came after I installed MDAC 2.8, Dot NET BETA 2, and windows
service pack 4.

I think MDAC is not installed correctly. I think this dll is not registered:
msader15.dll

I can;t get it to register - what can I do - I may lose my job.

How can I force the MSAC installation to install this. It gets skipped

Thanks

.
