System : Windows XP Pro SP1, MDAC 2.8, Jet 4.0 last SP, Access 2003 Pro

I use ADOX JetEngine Compactdatabase method to convert an access 97 database
file to an access 2000 database file.

the conversion is successfull, but when opening the database in access it
display a message asking for :
- converting the database
OR
- validating the database

I choose validating the database, but it produce warnings, saying that the
database is in ReadOnly mode and no modifications can be done, (to do
modifications, convert the database... and so on...). The problem is that
I can't modify anything in the database, except data. (can't delete
relation,
table, ...)

If I try to convert the same access 97 database via the access menu :
Tools\Database utilities\Convert database, the conversion succeed without
any problems and I can modify/delete what I want.

Conclusion : the ADOX conversion method do not convert correctly to access
2000 format.

I must use the ADOX conversion method to convert the database and can not
use the access menu as a workaround.

did anyone experience the same problem ?

thanks in advance
