access via ado slow

Hi,

I'm running into speed problems retrieving data from an access 2k db using
an ADO jet ole db connection. On my local system, things run fine, but on
another system, it runs really slowly (when opening a recordset with a sql
select statement). I suspect some sort of system configuration to be the
culprit, as there were no problems about a week ago. I'm running win xp, the
other system is running win 2003 server.
