It will work, at least against the default server name. If you have a
named instance (e.g. BIGSERVER\SQL2K) then it will not work with that
name, but you can configure an alias using SQL Server's Client Network
Utility and connect that way, I believe.
However, as Bill says, there are problems in 2.1 that have been resolved
in later versions, so you'd be *much* better off using a later version.
