Hi Boris,
If you developed your application with the older version of ADO, then you do
not have to install this old version at all, since all MDAC versions support
backward compatibility. Starting MDAC 2.7 Microsoft prevents installing of
the older versions of MDAC to prevent corruption of MDAC and OS itself. When
you try to run old version of MDAC, then OS check if this is an update to
the current version or not and if it is, then it runs it. If it is not, then
it just skips installation. In your case you only need to install your
application, not MDAC itself and it should be enough
