ADO 2.6 Installation

    Hello,

    We just got a new Win 2003 Server. It comes with MDAC 2.8 under the OS. We have a few VB applications that are compiled with MDAC 2.6. We decided to install MDAC 2.6 on this server so that our apps can run. The problem is that if you attempt to run the 2.6/2.7 MDAC_TYP.exe, the process appears to complete successfully, reporting a successful installation of the MDAC components. However, no files are updated on the system. At the end, if I check the registry, nothing is installed. Does anyone know how I can put MDAC 2.6 & 2.7 on a server that already has MDAC 2.8 installed?
