maybe I am completely wrong on this one. Please try giving help like to a dummy...

Suppose I do have a neat, clean new system on my computer.
What do I need to connect to my firebird-database on the server via MS-Query?

So far I do have MDAC 2.7 installed on Win2k and I do have installed 2 different ODBC-drivers for Firebird.

I do not have any problems with field types besides with type "date". On _one_ machine even "date"-fields are working, but until now I cannot find out, what is different on this machine.

All machines have MDAC 2.70.9001 installed.
