This sounds familiar, but I don't remember much about it... however, I
suspect that your problem is one of ODBC driver compatibility. What
version / vender is your ODBC driver?
For reference, I've used the INTERSOLV 3.11.1.0 driver, and the
Visigenic 2.0.9.2 driver, against IB 5.6 with no problems, but I have a
vague memory of older drivers from INTERSOLV failing on Date fields.
You might want to make sure that the version of your Interbase client
matches the version of your Interbase server.
