Hello.

We have been using visual basic applications that have been compiled on a machine with MDAC 2.7. These applications use both ADO and DAO to interact with dBase IV databases. These programs work fine on both Windows 98 and Windows XP Professional computers (upgraded from Windows 98). Recently, we purchased a factory-installed Windows XP Professional computer and installed MDAC 2.8 on it. Only on this new computer do we get the following error message when running our programs:

"Unexpected error from External Database Driver (10049)".

The error number returned is 3275. If anyone has experienced this problem, please provide instructions on how to remedy this situation.

Thank you,

Jeremy
