Hi Marcin,
MDAC (and ADO as a part of it) is a part of the operating system. So when
you install Windows, you automatically get MDAC installed with it. Each
version of Windows comes with different version of MDAC. Windows 2000 ships
with MDAC 2.6, WinXP with 2.7 and Win 2003 with 2.8. But each of the
versions may have newer version of MDAC installed on it. For example, if
some application or update for Windows installs MDAC 2.8, then Windows 200
and Win XP could have it already. To be able to distribute ADO with your
application you need to distribute the whole MDAC, not just the files
related to ADO. To do this you just need to include MDAC into installation
package. You could download MDAC from the Download Centre of Microsoft.
