According to the exam cram book for this exam any questions that offer
Database Mirroring as a potential answer to a question that talks about
a "Production" environment should be discounted as MS does not support
Database Mirroring in a production environment. However, with the
release of SP1 I believe it is now supported.

Where does this leave the exam?

Until, and unless, the exam is rewritten, the exam is based on the /release/
version of the product. However, to be critical of the Exam Cram book, the
question of database mirroring in a production environment is a
support/licensing question, and not a technical question, and I would
sincerely hope that you would NOT encounter such a question on the 70-431
exam.

Furthermore, I think that advice is flawed, to 'discount' the answer as a
valid answer because the feature is not supported. That's like
'overthinking' the question. If "Database Mirroring" is the correct answer
to a question, then it's the correct answer.

Will the questions be changed to
reflect this or is it possible that for the purposes of the exam you
have to assume what the book tells you to be true?

In general, you need to be aware of the state of the product as of the
release date of the exam. Service Packs quite often add features to a
product, but unless the exam has been rewritten since a SP was released, the
exam would know nothing about such feature enhancements. However, in this
case, the feature did exist in the release product, it was just not being
"supported" by Microsoft PSS in a production environment. But it DOES work,
and in some cases it IS the correct solution for particular scenarios.
