Passing the CCNA exam without having at least a couple of routers and a
couple of switches, or a sim that will allow you to build networks using
routers and switches in a variety of scenarios is going to be pretty
difficult. Several of the questions I had on my test related to things you
will only come across in troubleshooting connection problems, and in a test
in which you must have 85% or better to pass to through away 10% - 15% of
possible answers by not preparing sufficiently makes it hard to pass. You
better hope you won't miss anything outside of the hands on portions of the
test if you want to pass using only one router.

Besides, even if you do pass that way you'll still be a "paper" CCNA. You
won't be prepared to function in the real world.
