I found that on the "Certification Planner" (which I think is an awesome tool) the listed components that qualify for credit towards the MCSE 2003 Security Certification are not in-line with what is on the Microsoft Learning page.

When looking at the Certification Planner under "CORE" >> "Security Group"
"Security Group Core 5", the CISSP (ISC2) credentials count as one of the
two Security requirements.

On the Microsoft Learning web pages, the only listed the COMPTIA Security+ (which is under "Security Group Core 2" in the planner), which I have requested to be applied this morning... I'm not looking forward to taking the 299 exam if I can actually apply the CISSP.

I called the MCP phone # and they said that they are making updates, but NO plan on when OR IF the CISSP will be accepted - only that "things are changing, and look for announcements".

Does anyone have further information on the CISSP, CISA, CISM, and CSSP credentials that are listed in the Certification PLanner but not in the Microsoft Learning page?

thanks

I can only share my discussion that I had with Microsoft in early 2008, and they told me that they were in talks with (ISC)2 at that time. Nothing ever came out of it, and I just assumed that nothing ever would.

I thought it was kind of lame, but I can only assume they consider it a low priority.
