Re: Vant see pcs in domain

You don't know until you try it :-).
Install WINS reboot the machines, and let us know what happened.

thank you all for your replies. teh domain name is borrerofamily.com
(server name: RM1SRV1) and the workstations name is (XPPRO1).
I have been doing research and i've seen in a couple of instances, if you
disable netbios over tcp/ip the my network places will appear empty. the
second i enabled it, i was able to see the computers again. if anybody
knows why this happens feel free to share itwith me plesae :). What i'm
trying to do now is configure my dhcp server to hand out the option to
enable netbios over tcp ip. does anyone know how to do that? i've been
searching with no luck :(. lowdes, why should i set up WINS? i know that
wins are for legacy clients to resolve netbios name, but i have no legacy
clinents on my small 2 client network lol

DNS is working seeing as you can get to each machine via UNC.

Try sharing a folder from each computer readable by Everyone, and see if
the
computers show up in Network Places.

BTW, what OS is your workstation on the domain?
