What pays the most are the certs you can back up with hard experience. The
security+ and a+ type certs are a good bet for "cross platform" stuff though
I suspect you'd find the a+ basic if you've been around enough to pick up
CNA.
As for the MS stuff, what do you do with MS stuff? SQL skills are always
useful, for example, but you probably won't get hired into a well paying
roll if all you have is the bit of paper with zero experience in what its
like to have people screaming at you about slow DB response in production
environments.
