Stolen from somewhere: Modified for No reason, other to stir discontent.
When the last factory closes, the last software Corporation moves to China,
the last independent mechanic closes his shop...who are you going to hire to
turn off the lights? It wouldn't be an American; they are all either
drugged, drunk or too lazy, bitter, disgruntled or uneducated to expend the
effort...maybe, with close supervision or if someone told them how to do
it...'cause "Johnny can't read".
Probably have to fly in someone from overseas, because our children won't
know how. Seeing as they are either in marketing, mergers and finance,
janitors or fast food. There was no reason for them to get higher learning,
the jobs require them to be native Chinese, Japanese, Hindi or Korean
speakers, plus have a degree that "you" could help them get on your salary.
It'll never happen here?
Right?
Didn't they say that in England after the empire was divested? England
returned to its "true" roots.as Europeans, in quiet derision, are know to
say about the Brits; "A Nation of "Shop Keeper's" - with continuing
delusions of Empire".
Real or imagined...when you do not own the tools or basic needs of life, you
will be at the mercy of those that do. The many years the Arabs were treated
as second class citizens in their own country, until they took over the Oil
business from the "Western" nations. The Africans are still treated like
Children in their own country, because they are importers of technology, not
producers. There are riots in South America, because they owe more than they
can every hope to pay back. The rebellion (leading to independence of this
nation) was first fought to prevent the assumption that we were to provide
raw materials for the industry of England, not produce our own products. Or
did I get confused in history class? Someone set me straight on this please?
Any and all nations, with any sense, maintain or are seeking control of the
tools of their livelihood.
It will get better, probably...but what are you going to do for the next
10-20 years as people learn to accommodate the change?
