Actually it was released on Friday.
On Friday it was posted to MSDN and on Monday it was posted to the MS
Download Center. However Microsoft wants people to get it through Automatic
Updates unless they *really* need the full network install package.
People running pre-release versions of SP2 (betas or RC1/RC2) will get it
very soon through Automatic Updates [if they have AU turned on], while
people running XP or XP SP1 should begin to get it shortly thereafter. It
will be rolled out in stages-- to minimize the load on the servers, and I
guess so that MS can pull the plug if they discover a massive problem (just
kidding........) It will be posted to the Windows Update site later in
August for people who like to manually click to the update their systems.
CDs will also be available for free, from the MS site.

(not taking orders yet)
