every job place is different. a lot matters on who is running the show. you
obviously haven't worked in similar IT environments as me.

it's one thing to read the ravings and rantings of "security gurus" posting
their opinions on how things should be done in the "real" world (who also
happens to be selling you a $100 book in the process as well!).

it's another thing to bend over and take it like a man from a senior
director who has final word on everything (including weather you get to go
into work the next day or hit the streets looking for a new IT job in a bad
job market!) and who has no understanding of IT.
