Apologies for being slightly off topic (i.e. not exam related) but I have
tried relevant forums without any reply ...
Could anyone tell me what mup.dll does? I swapped a harddrive from one PC
into another unit with (as far as I can tell) identical hardware (mobo, BIOS
Version, sound, video, RAM & modem) but it would not boot up. Booting using
safe mode sees the mchine hang at "mup.dll". Xferring the hardrive back
into the other PC unit sees everything boot normally. Is it something to do
with XP copyright protection that I have just been reading about? If so can
it be 'reactivated' easily in the new PC?
Please note I am not trying to pirate any s/w I am just trying to diagnose a
possible h/w (on board midi) problem!
Ta
Andy
