1 page? Do you detail all of your work experience and
related job responsibilities for each job? How does an
employer know what skills you have if you don't detail
your job responsibilities?

My resume starts out with a "mission statement" describing
what my ideal job is and my short term goals, then it goes
into work experience. I list the job title, address of
the employer, and dates I worked in the position. Then
below that I list all of my major job responsibilities.
Heck, my current position takes up 1 page by itself just
talking about my day to day responsibilities as a Sr.
Network Admin. After that I list my education; my
university, high school, certifications, dates certified,
and exams passed. After that I have 3 references (past
supervisors).

Every time I have ever looked for work I was complimented
on the detail of my resume. If I was a Human Resources
Manager i'd like to look at a resume that has specific
details as to what a candidate does on a day to day basis,
rather than just to see a section of the resume listing
all of the job titles a person has held.

I'm not criticizing a short resume at all, i'm just saying
this is how I've created resumes in the past and i've had
alot of success. If you don't want to add your exams to
your resume, I would definitely attach a copy of your MCP
transcript to your resume; it can really impress an
employer.

When I look on sites like careerbuilder and hotjobs and
monster I often see jobs that are looking for an MCSE with
security or exchange focus.
