Key phrase here "When IT certs started". Sure as hell not the case now.
Microsoft has churned out so many fscking pieces of paper that the HR
droids use the to screen applicants for hell-desk positions. If
Microsoft really gives a crap about their certs, the why not require
verifiable work experience before the exam?
I work with ASE certified mechanics. Do you think that any schmuck can
memorize a couple of braindumps and write an ASE exam? No! ASE requires
work experience to qualify for the exam!
Our certification and training group still

Horse***! Why doesn't MS make an effort to close down the dump sites on
the web? You allow them to peddle their manure right here on your own
server. Wongh, cobol, kelleyme, and jonm post in here and other NG's
from examnotes constantly. Are they paying for the privilege?
Sorry, Andy, I know you are expected to peddle the company line, and I
hope you don't take this personally. Microsoft has done the industry a
huge disservice by flooding the market with semi-qualified cert holders
at a time when jobs are being shipped to India by the thousands. Then
what does MS do? Sell the exams at a discount for Indians. Make an
agreement whit the PRC for how many MCSE's in the next couple of years?
Thanks a lot.
Rant ends
